Vibein LLC (“Vibein,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the VibeIn platform at vibein.us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.


1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information when you use VibeIn:

  • Name: Your full name, used to personalise your profile and introductions.
  • Phone number: Your mobile number, used for authentication (one-time passcodes) and to send you SMS notifications about matches and connections. Your number is stored securely and is never displayed to other users without your explicit consent.
  • Email address: Used for account authentication and transactional notifications such as match introductions and digest emails.
  • LinkedIn profile: If you choose to connect your LinkedIn, we collect your public headline, profile URL, and professional summary to improve the quality of introductions. LinkedIn connection is optional.
  • Interests and intent: The networking intent you select at check-in (e.g., business networking, dating, mentorship) and any interest tags you provide. This information is used solely to match you with compatible people at the same venue or event.
  • Usage data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and performance monitoring.
  • Location context: Venue or event name you check in to. We do not collect or store GPS coordinates.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Matching: To identify compatible people at the same venue or event based on shared interests, professional background, and stated intent. Introductions are always consent-gated — you must accept before any identity is revealed.
  • Notifications: To send you SMS and WhatsApp messages alerting you that a potential match is waiting for your response. These messages include a deep link back to the app and are limited to match-related activity.
  • Authentication: To verify your identity via one-time passcodes sent by SMS or email.
  • Product improvement: To analyse aggregate, anonymised usage patterns to improve matching quality and platform reliability. We do not sell individual-level data for advertising purposes.
  • Safety: To enforce our Terms of Service, investigate abuse reports, and protect users from harassment or spam.

3. SMS and Messaging Disclosures

By creating a VibeIn account and providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Vibein LLC related to your account activity, including match notifications, connection alerts, and authentication codes.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your activity. You may receive up to several messages per day during active use at an event or venue. Typical usage is 1–5 messages per session.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier message and data rates apply to all SMS messages sent or received. Contact your wireless carrier for details.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe from all future messages. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. To re-subscribe, reply START.

Mobile numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third-party marketers or advertisers for any purpose.


4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your consent: Your name, professional headline, and bio are shared with a matched user only after both parties accept the introduction.
  • Service providers: We share data with trusted infrastructure providers (Supabase for database hosting, Twilio for SMS delivery, Vercel for hosting) who are contractually bound to use your data only to provide their services.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users via email before any such transfer occurs.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Session data from Local (venue-based) check-ins expires within 90 minutes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting vibeinteams@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.


6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), server-side row-level security, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.


7. Children's Privacy

VibeIn is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.


8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent for SMS communications at any time by replying STOP

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification. Continued use of VibeIn after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
